Engaging Communities

Walk the Plank often works with other companies, as well as artists, on collaborative projects which enhance the work of all involved, and that have many (sometimes unexpected) outcomes.

Walk the Plank aim to ensure that our shows reach all parts of the community, and to encourage many diverse groups to participate in civic and cultural celebrations. Walk the Plank are interested in working with ideas and traditions from the ethnic groups and diverse communities living in the UK to enrich our culture in unexpected ways.

Over the years we have produced inclusive work that embraces people from all walks of life, to create processions and parades, large-scale outdoor theatre, fire shows and community-based projects which reflect contemporary British culture.
