In the Dhol Drums remains a popular show and is available for touring in 2009…

This processional music show is inspired by the north Indian dhol drum and has been created by the Dhol Academy in association with Walk the Plank. A giant, mobile dhol drum is processed through the street, flanked by drummers and 2 stilted characters that interact with the audience, the drum then becomes a three tiered stage, on which the percussive finale is performed, accompanied by pyrotechnics and pre-recorded music.

Also available: Dhol Drums in the Dark… This night time version of the show is suitable for an audience of around 5,000 and includes a splendid pryrotechic finale and music by bhangra producer Kuljit Bhamra.
