Artist Training
In 2010, and in preparation for a county-wide, 2012 project in Essex, we hosted our first week long artist residency ‘Flaming Tip… Training in the Dark Arts of Fire, Special Effects and other Night-time Tricks for Outdoor Performance’. 20 artists were taught, pushed, questioned and challenged, as we worked to improve their skills and knowledge of pyrotechnics. The residency culminated in a final challenge where the students were given only a 48 hour period to create new and improvised performances. All performance pieces featured as part of ESSEXstreetdiversions.
We have also developed our own in-house, purpose created Pyrotechnic Training Scheme.
