The road to TurkuWalk the Plank and Director Mark Murphy are making significant progress creating THIS SIDE, THE OTHER SIDE, a world class theatrical event which will launch Turku as the 2011 European Capital of Culture on January 15th next year. We’ve appointed local Production Manager Kristiina Koskinen and local Participation Coordinator Tiina Salmia. 1000 school children have been recruited and several choirs have already volunteered to perform the city’s Song for the Year, composed by Nathaniel Reed who is creating a score for the show. We’ll be returning to Turku early next month to continue our work with the Turku 2011 federation… more updates in the next enews!
