The Potting Shed Cabaret
Make your way down to Canning Dock, for a monthly dose of green-fingered fun.
Walk the Plank’s theatre ship will host The Potting Shed, a monthly cabaret event showcasing the best in scratch performance and music from both emerging and experienced artists. Different guest ‘head gardeners’ will choose the theme for each event and curate the evening’s entertainment. Each germ of an idea will be fed, watered and nurtured for your delectation and delight with an emphasis on the visual, the physical, the political, the grotesque, the underground, the eccentric and the eclectic.
An exciting mix of the best of Liverpool’s home grown talent will sit alongside special guests from further afield, including Barcelona, Basel and Copenhagen. There will be comedy, burlesque, magic, impro, theatre and spoken word, with installations and assignations. There’ll also be music aplenty as the house band and guest singers entertain with songs to suit each evening’s theme and late night DJs offer unusual tunes from Balkan beats to deviant country. Expect the best in organic ideas in a pest-free environment!

The Potting Shed Cabaret is unique and eclectic evening which takes place aboard the UK’s only theatre ship; the Fitzcaraldo, berthed at Canning Dock in Liverpool.
Doors open at 7.30pm, and the entertainment begins 8.30pm. Arrive early to secure a table/seat, otherwise standing room only. Some tickets will be available on the gangplank before the event, but numbers are limited, so we advise that you buy in advance online.
