Our newly published Green Space Dark Skies Impact Report tells the story of our six-month journey across the UK, from inception through to delivery.

Discover more about the original idea behind the project, the development of the new Geolights technology, how we worked with artists in every location, what it meant to our Lumenators to participate in the events, and how we created our series of short films.

It takes an army of people to deliver a project on this scale and the Impact Report sheds light on the work of the team and partners who made our multi-award-winning project such a success. But of course, it could not have happened without the thousands of people who took part in our events as Lumenators. In the Report, we document how we embedded core themes of access, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability throughout the project. We explain how we worked with local groups to support their participation and developed new learning resources and opportunities for children and young people.

Packed with quotes, facts and figures, the Green Space Dark Skies Impact Report also details how the artists in each event location were inspired by the landscape to respond creatively with new music, poetry, choreography, and even Virtual Reality. Each artist responded to their specific countryside location, drawing inspiration from the unique heritage, and sense of place, to how people from all communities encounter and navigate these special wild spaces.
