During October 2025 half term, we went on a tour of Salford's neighbourhoods, taking our Wagon with us!

Climb aboard the Wagon Train and help shape Salford’s centenary celebrations in 2026. The Wagon Train will reappear next summer as part of a travelling mini festival across the city - but we need your ideas to make it happen. What should take place on or around the Wagon in your community - a fashion show, a band night, a karaoke hokey cokey, a food festival? Where will it go? Who’s involved? How do we celebrate? This is your chance to influence the cultural programme for 2026. If you live, work or play in Salford, come and help us prepare,  bring your thoughts, ideas and inspirations.

Walk the Plank has created a Wild West-inspired Wagon, part pop-up stage, part DJ booth, maybe even an AV hub or gamezone. It’s inspired by Buffalo Bill’s visit to Salford 150 years ago, and the incredible changes in the city since then. In 2026, Salford marks 100 years as an official city. What should we celebrate now, and how do we imagine the next 100 years?
