  • Major Events & Ceremonies

We’ve earned an international reputation for our major events – immense and inclusive celebrations that make headlines and memories in equal measure. Whether you’re a Capital of Culture or a small town with big ideas, we’ll give your event the awe-inspiring treatment it deserves.

What we do

  • Sporting Events
  • Opening Ceremonies
  • Capital of Culture
  • Experimental & Immersive

There’s a reason that we’re a first-call organisation for anyone looking to launch or close a major event.

From European Capitals of Culture to the Commonwealth Games, our creativity and collaborative spirit ensures every celebration we make is truly one of a kind. They are about much more than our artistic vision – and our teams of producers and technicians have the logistical brains and hard-won experience to make sure that even the most ambitious events go off without a hitch.

Together, we can make miracles happen on the streets of your town or city – anywhere in the world. Read on or get in touch to find out how.

Capitals of Culture

Capitals of Culture

Our collaborations with European Capitals of Culture have been some of our most exciting and rewarding projects – and have brought our work to huge new audiences at home and abroad.

Since our opening show for Liverpool 08 Capital of Culture set the scene for a year that transformed the city, we’ve created Opening Ceremonies for two further European Capitals of Culture, Turku in Finland and Pafos in Cyprus. We’re currently making a major event for Bodø in Norway which takes the mantle this midsummer.

But we also work closer to home – such as our fiery contributions to Waltham Forest’s opening weekend as the first ever London Borough of Culture, and the award-winning spectacular we devised for Derry-Londonderry’s year as UK City of Culture.

Opening & Closing Ceremonies

Opening & Closing Ceremonies

From culture capitals to international sporting events, we know how to get any party started – and how to bring down the curtain with suitably epic closing celebrations.

Alongside our work with Olympic and Paralympic Games and Cities of Culture, we’ve devised, produced and presented a rich variety of ceremonies to launch and close major events. From opening huge waterfront festivals and landmark theatres, we’ve marked major anniversaries with massive open-air events across the UK. We’ve lit the Paralympic heritage flame – and we’ve closed the Commonwealth Games.

If you’ve got an event that needs a signature opening or closing, send us a message – we’d love to talk.

Large-Scale Productions

Large-Scale Productions

Our major productions aren’t always attached to a wider celebration or festival – many of them are created and designed to stand on their own two feet.

We’ve staged the largest outdoor production ever presented in Wales to mark the 10th anniversary of the Millennium Centre. We’ve reimagined Indian folklore for a mass participation event in Belfast. And we've teamed up with Mind the Gap to pit the giant baby against a tank in the middle of the Piece Hall, Halifax.

Perhaps you’ve got a significant moment you want to celebrate. Maybe you’ve got a story you’d like to tell. Or you’re just thinking of staging a big public celebration. Whatever the reason, we’re here to help.
